Momentum Transport, the London-based, integrated transport consultancy, will again co-sponsor the World Car Free Day Summit, taking place on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 September 2020.

Following the success of last year’s event, the summit will return digitally this year to bring together civic leaders, property developers, financiers, community organisers, architects and transport planners from around the world to debate a vision for the future of traffic-free city centres and more economically, socially, and environmentally productive use of valuable urban land.

Roy McGowan, managing director at Momentum said: “Our role as urban designers, transport planners and engineers is to create spaces for people. While this doesn’t always mean heading exclusively for car free, more and more we’re working with clients to help reduce a long-established reliance on motor vehicle dominance.

“We strive to be progressive thinkers. Addressing the needs of the future city by making sure that our clients know about new technology and strategies to help them achieve their goals, whilst working alongside the ambitions, challenges and constraints of policies and legislation which guide their developments.

“We’re proud to be co-sponsoring the Car Free Day Summit again this year and to share our insights on how cities and urban developments can achieve more efficient land use and mobility”.

Will Durden, director at Momentum and Amélie Cossé, director at Momentum Canada will both be speaking as panellists during the summit. Momentum will also be participating in the Speakers Corner event – looking at how tomorrow’s big idea may actually be made up of today’s initiatives.
