Momentum Transport Consultancy has announced that it has signed up to the Camden Climate Change Alliance.
The Alliance is a not-for-profit membership network founded by the London Borough of Camden which is driving change on sustainability, tackling global issues and local priorities. Founded in 2008, the Alliance brings together over 270 organisations from business, third sector and schools and works with Business Improvement Districts across Camden and other business networks to empower them to make a positive impact on the environment.
Roy McGowan, managing director at Momentum said: “The Alliance’s mission is to support members to contribute towards a low-emission and low-waste Camden, which improves local air quality, mitigates climate change and closes the loop on waste. This includes a commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 40% by 2020. Looking ahead we will be adopting and adapting the Mindful Employer Charter’s principles. The Charter also gives us access to a wealth of useful information about mental health and how to handle situations that may arise at work, which we believe is really important in empowering our staff who have supervisory responsibilities to spot potential issues and help others who may need some support.”
