Introduction
Momentum were appointed by the RFU in 2016 to support their planning application for the extension of the Twickenham Stadium East Stand in order to provide more hospitality space on-site, removing the need to cater for hospitality ticket holders in off-site locations, therefore providing commercial and customer experience benefits to the RFU.
Momentum provided servicing advice to refine the East Stand column structure at ground level through swept path assessments to ensure the routes were suitably sized for the required delivery vehicles. We arranged and carried out spectator and staff surveys of an England rugby match and arranged internal staff surveys to inform the travel plan.
Momentum produced the full suite of planning documents including a Transport Assessment and associated appendices. We have since supported the RFU with discharging post-planning conditions related to the Travel Plans, Road Safety Auditand Servicing Management Plan.
