"We work on a number of complex and high profile public sector schemes including gyratory removal, masterplanning and high street freight consolidation. We understand the local and regional policy context that local authorities work in, the relationships with external stakeholders including elected members, tenants, residents and businesses and the need to balance conflicting demands for carriageway and kerbside space."
The public sector is in a unique position to deliver large scale improvements to transport and the public realm, focusing on walking, cycling, access to public transport and place making.
With a strong focus on designing spaces for our communities and people in mind, our work with public sector clients ranges from the delivery of removing one-way systems and implementing strategic cycle lanes to masterplanning and residential developments. Helped by our fully integrated approach which combines transport planning, engineering and pedestrian and traffic modelling, our teams use a combination of knowledge of local needs and policy requirements and best practice within the industry to deliver schemes across a variety of locations and environments. We understand the importance of balancing the needs of different user groups including pedestrians, cyclists, buses, taxis, loading and parking, local residents, businesses and other organisations.
At Momentum we have the pleasure of working closely with local authority partners, architects, urban and landscape designers with the aim of achieving the appropriate solution for each project.
